Interpretation & education

Presented on the quai Branly, free-of-charge day and night, Photoquai intends to appeal to the widest possible audience. The idea of cultural mediation is to offer to visitors information to enable them to take full ownership of the biennial photographs.

Throughout the event, a team of cultural mediators, specialised in photography, and trained in the knowledge of its history and practice, will be on site ready to inform, transmit and share with visitors – depending upon what they asked for – key pieces of information about the works on display.
They are present at different times of the exhibition:

  • Throughout the whole biennial (from Tuesday, September 22nd to Sunday, November 22nd 2015)

On Wednesday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm
On Thursday evenings from 6pm to 8pm
On weekends from 2pm to 6pm

  • For the opening week (from Tuesday, September 22nd, to Sunday, September 27th)

Every day from 11am to 9pm

  • During school holidays (from Saturday, October 17th to Monday, November 1st)

Every day except on Monday from 2pm to 6pm, and on Thursday from 2pm to 8pm

Each week, mediators will also offer different tours suitable for all, offering everyone the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of photography, beginning with the Photoquai programme. For more info, please check the ‘agenda’ pages.
